Q. If I'm getting ready to sell my house, is it better to have you do the work before a home inspection is ordered?

A. If an inspector performs a home inspection for the customer and notes a list of issues that must be fixed or repaired, each issue must be repaired and signed off by the licensed contractor performing the repairs, A copy of the inspection report with items repaired and signed off by license contractor must be given to the new purchasing homeowner.

Here is a checklist a homeowner could use before calling out a Home Inspection Company which could save you hundreds of dollars!  HOME INSPECTION CHECKLIST

Building and Remodeling Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

Q. Does my remodeling job need a permit?

A. Building codes are set up by most cities, towns and counties and can vary considerably from one jurisdiction to another. Yes, a building permit is usually required whenever structural work is involved or even when the living area of the home is going to be changed. As a professional contractor, I will take care of obtaining the necessary permits.

Q. How long will my remodeling project take to be completed?

A. Of course the answer to this question depends greatly on the size and scope of your project, plus whatever might be found during demolition. Unforeseen problems can crop up once walls are opened up or taken down that could require additional work. I'll always do my best to keep the schedule realistic to completion.

Q. What if I have some remodeling ideas of my own?

A. I can help you establish which ideas will work best for your situation and we will discuss all of the options that might be available, and help guide you for what will work best for meeting your desires using realistic and reasonable solutions.

Q. Do you provide clean-up and debris removal when you are finished with my construction project?

A. Yes. I make every effort to minimize the impact on your space, both during and after completion of your construction or remodeling work. You don't have to worry about damage and debris...I want you to enjoy the remodeling process and its results.

Q. Are you licensed and insured?

A. Yes. I am a licensed General Contractor for residential and commercial projects.  I carry general liability and make certain anyone who works with me is insured as well. My scope of work includes everything from small home improvement projects, to kitchens and baths, whole house remodels, face-lifts and additions
